This paper examines the stylistic analysis of Toni Morrison 's Beloved ( 2004) using the analytic model developed by Leech and Short (1981) as the major approach. The researcher is aiming to identify the principal stylistic devices used by Morrison in her famous novel Beloved. The unique style of Morrison reflects the way readers respond to the novel. Morrison's language in this novel is not only a tool of communication but it is also a means of information. Morrison focuses on the interconnectivity between language and identity because there is a relationship between the spoken words and how they are comprehended.en_US
