Abstract: The present work is studied the fracture strength of alfa- alumina using 3-point bend test and uniaxial compressive test. This work showed the fracture strength results of 3-point bend test better than uniaxial compressive test. Using low compressive stress at sintering of alumina leading to obtain low mechanical properties in spite of high sintering temperature.
