Abstract

يعد ابن كثير عالما ومؤرخا، فهو من طبقة العلماء الفضلاء الذين اكملوا بناء صرح الحضارة الاسلامية، اذ كانت انجازاته واضحة في خدمة الحركة الفكرية الاسلامية، فله مصنفات كثيرة منها كتابه( البداية والنهاية) وهو اشهر مؤلفاته التاريخية، لكونه كتاب ضخم ضم في ثناياه علما وتاريخا، وكان من المصادر المهمة التي اعتمدها الباحثون في دراسة التاريخ منذ بدء الخليقة حتى منتصف القرن الثامن الهجري/الرابع عشر الميلادي.Ibn kathir was a great scholar and historian because he one of the scholar who completed the building of civilization. His fingerprint was clear in the service of the intellectual movement. He has been repeatedly referred to by many scholars. He had many works. His book the beginning and the end is one of his most famous historical books. It is a book of fourteen volumes. It contains a lot of ideas and historical information. It is among the most important historical sources that scholars have relied upon in the study of ancient history from the beginning of the creation to the reign of prophet muhammed (peace be upon him) and the history of Islam from the beginning of the creation until the middle of the eighth century .
