Abstract

Cryptosporidium parvum is a significant cause of gastrointestinal disease in humans and an-imals. Many diagnostic techniques are available for its detection. Most of these include- Micro-scopic methods, Serological methods, and Molecular methods. Current review aims in describing various diagnostic techniques available along with their advantages and limitations. conclusion : Many diagnostic tests are available for the diagnosis of Cryptosporidium par-vum. Recent advances look promising in diagnosis of C.parvum infections. Till now, no single diagnostic test is fool proof and many of diagnostic tests require a set up and expertise.
