سياسـة الولايـات المتحـدة الأميركيـة اتجـاه البرازيـل كانون الثاني - آب 1961

Abstract

تعد البرازيل من دول قارة أميركا الجنوبية المهمة لما تمتلكه من مساحة كبيرة جعلتها اكبر دول القارة والتي اعطت لها مميزات وعوامل جغرافية وتأريخية مكنتها من امتلاك ثروات ومقدرات بشرية واقتصادية، وبذلك اصبحت محط انظار الولايات المتحدة الأميركية، إذ حظيت بإيلاء الاهتمام لها من لدن الاخيرة. تكمن اهمية الموضوع - مدار البحث - في تسليط الضوء على سياسة الإدارة الأميركية حيال توجهات حكومة البرازيل التي تسنمت زمام الحكم في البلاد خلال مرحلة حرجة اتسمت ببروز قوتين عالميتين متمثلتين بالولايات المتحدة الأميركية والاتحاد السوفيتي ودخولهما في حرب اطلقها عليها بـ " الحرب الباردة " ، إذ كانت كل واحدة منها تخطو خطوة باتجاه التفوق في مختلف الصعد توازيها الأخرى بخطوتين نحو الاهداف نفسها لتشتد المنافسة بينهما في استقطاب دول العالم من خلال بث افكارهما فيها واتباع سياسة ترسمها لتلك الدول التي تحاول الارتماء في احضانهما. وبالنظر لموقع دولة البرازيل الجغرافي وقربها من الولايات المتحدة الأميركية ، أولت الاخيرة اهتمامها فيها وحاولت ابعادها عن خطر المد الشيوعي القادم إلى دول القارة بعد نجاح الثورة الكوبية في العام 1959. Brazil is one of the important countries of the South American continent due to its large area. This feature made Brazil the largest country in the continent, which gave it advantages namely geographical and historical factors. These factors enabled Brazil to have human and economic wealth and capabilities. Thus, it became the focus of the attention of the United States of America, as it received attention from the latter. The importance of the topic - the focus of the research - lies in shedding light on the policy of the US administration towards the orientations of the Brazilian government, which took control of the country during a critical stage. This era characterized by the emergence of two world powers represented by the United States of America and the Soviet Union and their conflict into a war, which was called the "Cold War". Each of these great powers took a step towards excellence in various levels, the other power used to take two steps towards the same goals. This was to intensify the competition between them in attracting the countries of the world by spreading their ideas in these countries and adopting a policy they draw for those countries that were trying to fall into their arms. Given the geographical location of Brazil and its proximity to the United States of America, the latter paid attention to it and tried to keep it away from the danger of the communist tide coming to the countries of the continent after the success of the Cuban Revolution in 1959.
