Abstract: Aims at knowing effectiveness of self Questioning in Achievement and Retention of Fourth scientific year students in physics subject . The Research was applied on Fourth scientific year students of Damascus secondary school belonging to Diyala General Directorate of Education. The sample was chosen by researcher which consists of (52) students. The sample was distributed randomly on two equal groups , one of them is experimental and other is control group. The results explained that there was significant statistical differenc es at (0.05) for favour which was taught . According suggested strategy compared with control group which was taught by traditional method
